Who are we?

Tauranga Samba is Brazilian drumming group that has been operating since Sept 2007. Since then, we have built up an enthusiastic core of players who perform regularly at events in Tauranga and throughout the North Island.

What is Brazilian style percussion?

A powerful mixture of Rhythms that have grown together and fused into many new forms over the years in Brazil.

Do I need any musical experience?

None required! A typical Brazilian style percussion group may have members ranging from no musical experience at all to accomplished musicians. Its easy to learn and you will be taught everything you need to know.
