Melinda and Rangi Harries wedding. Rotary Park, Feb 2009
We'd just like to say another very big thank you to you and the rest of the team that made our day so special. Everyone was talking about the drumming and still are! Awesome!"
Niq and Dons wedding. Bowentown lookout, Feb 2008
Don & I were married on The Bowentown Peninsular (the southern end of Waihi Beach). As an ex-member of Tauranga Samba, I knew from the day I joined the group that I wanted to 'walk down the aisle' to their exotic Brazilian style percussion. Well, my dream came true in February 2008..... 'Phil the whistle blower' was at the lookout point, and alerted the crowd and Tauranga Samba of the wedding cars' arrival and with that, the 'wedding march' drumming began. Such an energetic environment was created with the howling wind and the beating of the instruments. And, in amongst the marvellous feeling of excitement and vibrant vigour, I think I remained calm and composed as I made my entrance! What an amazing time we all had - the guests LOVED the unique and dynamic feeling the ceremony held. The wind died down just in time and ........my one regret would be………..that I didn't put on a drum on and bang out a few beats!
PS: and the groom said he LOVED the drumming too!!!!
Thanks so very very much guys - I miss you - wahooooooooooooo!! Nicqui xx
BOP Webhealth Launch
The superb choreographical and musical skills of this group enhanced our organisation's launch and provided high impact, raising anticipation as guests arrived at our event. The drummers donned costumes that fitted perfectly with our theme and were well prepared with each member knowing thoroughly what was expected. The drumming had a quality that was deep and stirring, provoking a heightened sense of excitement that told the listener "something important is happening here today". Everyone attending experienced the "wow" factor creating a lasting memory.
